He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar and Grace; and his siblings, Arnold, Ellen and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his children, Johnathan Swanstrom (Catherine), Beth Bulgrien (Rex), Anita Isenga (Tom) and Kenneth Swanstrom; and his brothers, Robert and Ervin.
