He was predeceased by: his sisters, Wanetta Gast and Armeta Fish; his granddaughter Holly Gast; and his great grandchild Haley Meeuwes. He is survived by: his children, Herman Emerson and Lori; his wife Sherry; and his children, Martin Gast, Shauna Lynn and Todd Gast. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
