He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Edsall and Evelynn Edsall (Gasta); his brother Roy Edsall; his granddaughters, Bridgit and Heather Neal; his brother-in-law Ray Burch; and his son-in-law Al Short.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Short, William Edsall, Jr. (Debra), Laura Mayfield (John) and Robert Edsall; his granddaughter Ashley Logan (Jami); his sister Carol Burch; and his sister-in-law Teresa Edsall. He is also survived by five other grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
