He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Jeff Hoffman (Beth), Brian Hoffman (Kellie) and Jill Van Schaick (Henri); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Paul, Rob, Rachel, Ryan, Daniel, James, Max and Sam; and his half-sisters, Janice Hoffman and JoAnn Jacobs. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeview/Urbandale Kiwanis or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
