With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Marguerite Cornell of Barryton, Michigan, who passed away on December 18, 2020 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Verna Marguerite Cornell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cummings and Mabel Cummings (Sisco); her husband William F. Cornell; her children, Jenine Stickler and Dennis Cornell; her grandson Trent Cornell; and her sisters, Ardlene Grove, Evelyn Denslow and Carol Schroeder-Shaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Cornell (Rhonda) of Clio, Susanne Smith (David) of Durand and Tina Henry (Bill) of Grayslake, IL; and her sister Doris Sowles of Barryton. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held prior to the burial on Monday at the Barryton Church of God.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Verna's name may be made to the Jenine Stickler Memorial Fund, c/o MCCF P.O. Box 1012-C, Big Rapids, MI 49307, The Barryton Senior Center or the Barryton Church of God.
