It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Lee Campbell of Barryton, Michigan, born in Marshall, Michigan, who passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Campbell and Marjorie Campbell (Hope); his siblings, Ruth Reed, Roy, Richard, Jack and Howard Campbell; and his granddaughter Renee Jehnsen.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Campbell of Barryton; his children, Tony Campbell (Jannette) of Leonidas, MI, Danny Campbell (Connie) of Rodney and Patty Rettinger (Bruce) of Mecosta; his grandchildren, Jennifer Schmidtendorff (Alex), Philip Campbell (Kelli), Devin Campbell, Britney Campbell, Hunter Campbell and Bruce Rettinger Jr.; his great grandchildren, R. J. Campbell, Isabelle Schmidtendorff, Colton Schmidtendorff, Reece Campbell and Rylie; and his sisters, Mary Lou VanHuysen (Chuck) of Battle Creek and Joan Campbell of Battle Creek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Phil's name may be made to The Lighthouse Free Methodist Church in Barryton or Spectrum Health Hospice.

“How we will miss you, Phil; our friend of many years! Ever the warm hearted and smiling man who never complained about challenges in his life. Our memories are many and so cherished. He was my “tiramisu making buddy,” for one of our many Christmas Celebrations together. I jumped ahead of others to shout that I wanted Phil as my partner. Particular, diligent and lots of fun.
