He was predeceased by: his parents, Charly Strom and Myrtle Strom (Arnegaard); and his sister Larose Lott. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; and his children, Erdmund Strom Jr. (Penny), Cherryl Campbell (Bruce), Renay Kline (Chris), Craig Strom (Lennia) and Rosenn Strom. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
