With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leo Sam Durant (Baraga, Michigan), who passed away on September 27, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Sam Durant Sr. and Bertha Nedeau; and his children, Leona, Aaron, Leo Sam III, Steven Durant and Kimberly Soman.

He is survived by: his children, Amanda Durant of Milwaukee, WI, Amadea Durant of Lyle, WA, Mitchell Durant and Anse; and his siblings, Catherine Sandquist of Baraga, Dominic, Melvin Durant, Martha Roy, Julia Cardinal, Leona Bolo and Viola Banuchie. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces an nephews.
