He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Raymond Kokko; his former wife Norma Tahtinen; his wife Norma Kokko of Baraga; his mother Elizabeth Kokko-Holzman of L'Anse; his daughter Jimi Lyn Kokko; his grandchildren, Sierra, Cheyenne and Nathaniel Welsh; his sisters, Doris Mayo (John) of L'Anse and Pauline Peters (Frank) of Georgia; his son Lee Kokko of Luke Kokko; and his sister Roseann Coen. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
