He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Halasz and Mary Halasz; his wife Delphine Forbes; his sister Violet Halasz; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Huth and Betty Townley (Connie Ostrander).

He is survived by: his children, David Halasz (Debi), Sandy Halasz, Jean Halasz-Kandaris and Judy Halasz-Centala; his sister Pat Huth; his grandchildren, Jacqueline (Phil), Danelle (Kevin), Megan (Nate), Chad (Natalie), Michael (Cassie), Destin Benjamin (Amanda) and Jessica (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Keira, Damian, Owen, Wyatt, Gabrielle, Brooklyn, Evelyn, Eleanor, Seraphina, Cecilia, Brendon, Jayden and Saria.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bad Axe.
