He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gallagher and Emma Gallagher; his brothers, Howard and Edward; his son Robert J. Gallagher; and his former wife Hazel Mae Gallagher (Wolfe).
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Butler; his sons, William Gallagher (Donna) of Bangor, Pennsylvania and Blaine Gallagher of Spring Hill, Florida; his stepchildren, Kenne Butler of Texas, Carl Butler (Tina) of Edwardsburg, Jeff Butler (Cheryl) of Atlanta and Dawn Beswick (Joe) of Atlanta; and his sisters, Shirley, Kathleen and Lynn. He is also survived by two grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
