He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin E. Welch and Fern Welch (Burlew); his former wives, Arthureen Thatcher and Betty Pugh; his siblings, Vera Taylor, Vivian DeVolder, Victoria Welch, Violet Sharen, Viola Wickham, Victor Welch, Vedea Lothamer and Verlin Welch; and his grandsons, Justin Vandegriff and Reed Welch.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Welch (Diane), Donald Welch (Robin), Debra Dorsey (Stan), Joy Cope (Andy), Torianna Welch, Sue VanAken, Joe Nall and Mike Nall; and his siblings, Velma Ward, Virginia Pope, Virgil Thatcher and Versel Welch. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Reading Emergency Unit or Hospice of Hillsdale County.
