He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rockey and Nora Rockey (Barnes); his son Steve Rockey; his siblings, Donna Blue, Dorothy Risedorph, Helen Donihue, Muriel McLain and William Rockey; and his stepgreat-grandson Beckett VanLue.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Wales (Bream); his children, Teresa Rockey of Coldwater, Henry Rockey (Elaine) of Allen and Jim Rockey (Marlene) of Allen; and his stepson Brian Wales of Iowa City, Iowa. He is also survived by two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several step-grand and step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
