He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sanders and Golda Marie Sanders (Pargeon); his wife Patricia Sanders (Hiscock); his daughter Anne Ochampaugh; his grandson Patrick; and his siblings, Jeanette Peterson (Stanley), Eileen "June" Graves (Robert), Kathryn Traxler (Arthur), Robert Sanders (Sherry) and Letha Krcatovich (Michael).
He is survived by: his children, Marie Esterline (Todd), Patrick Sanders, Mike Sanders, Sam Sanders (Kimberly) and Raymond Sanders (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Justin, Meghan, Rebecca, Jackie, Jerri, Donnie, Samantha, Travis, Crystal and Autumn. He is also survived by his ten great-grandchildren.
