He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F. Pierson and Jean M. Pierson. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Pierson; his children, Penny Lemmen (Daryl), Roger Pierson, Stanley Pierson, Pamela Maikoski and Jessica Pierson; and his brothers, Carl L. Pierson (Susan) and James F. Pierson (Vicky). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
