He is survived by: his mother Kitty Carruthers (McDougald); his children, Katlynn Hoekstra (Scott), Sonya Carruthers (Ronnie) and Ryan Carruthers (Isabel); his brothers, Patrick Carruthers (Kathy) and Sean Carruthers; his granddaughter Lilliana Hoekstra; his nephews, Aaron Carruthers and Steven Carruthers; his niece Ava Carruthers; and his cousin Dean Carruthers (Lisa).
