He is survived by: his children, Kimberley Gooldy (Raymond), James "Junior" Stephens (Edimara) and Sissie Pauley (Charles); his grandchildren, Ronnie Swain, Cody Swain, Amanda Schilling (Cody), Alaina Gooldy, James "Bo" Stephens III, Jenny Gooldy, Leticia Bittencourt, Larissa Bittencourt, Joseph Pauley, Mary, Alexandra Pauley and Blake Pauley; his great grandchildren, Kimberly Swain, Cody Swain Jr., Zeke Swain, Serenity Shilling, Connor Shilling, Neveah Stephens, Eli Roman Schmidt, Davie Bittencourt, Lorenzo Bittencourt and Shelbie Pauley; and his sister Linda Buck.
