He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe S. Cole and Phoebe Cole; and his siblings, Linda Jo Case (Cole), Douglas S. Cole, Larry Thomas Cole, Stephen Dale Cole, Dorothy Keith (Cole), Susan Keith (Cole) and Dorothy Young (Cole).

He is survived by: his friend David Marsh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
