He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Linton and Sarah Ruth Smith (Burch); his stepmother Ann Galvin Smith; his brother Jack Galvin (Hazel); and his brother-in-law Gerald Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Jean Scott; his daughters, Raeshel Vettes of Somerset, Melissa Thornton (Bradley) of Somerset, Jennifer Smith of Ann Arbor and Pamela Leonard (Richard) of Troy; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Morrison (Brad) of Burbank, CA, Heather Robidoux (Shayne) of Addison, Kayla Horton (Mike) of Addison, Jayme Thornton (Felicia) of Jackson, Joseph Thornton of Lansing, Emma Leonard of Troy and Jack Leonard of Troy; and his sister Ann Baker of Addison. He is also survived by seven nieces, six nephews and 23 first cousins.
