He is survived by: his wife Martha Hayes; his children, Ryan Hayes, Paul Hayes and John Hayes; his daughters-in-law, Amanda Hayes, Cathy Hayes and Jillian Hayes; his grandchildren, Michael Hayes, Zoey Hayes, Jack Hayes and Cordelia Hayes; and his brothers, Ken Hayes, Dan Hayes and Tom Hayes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
