He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Edward and Althea Gertrude Knowles (Harding); his brother Paul Clayton Knowles; his half-brother Kenneth Knowles (Barbara); and his nephew David Knowles.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Deane of Presque Isle; his children, Sarah Katherine Knowles of Presque Isle and Paul Winslow Knowles (Kari Frost); his granddaughter Chloe Isabella Knowles; and his sister Olive Norton. He is also survived by four nieces.
