She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. "Jack" Murphy and Bernice A. Murphy (Fontaine); and her sisters, Janet Murphy Elliott and Mary Jo Murphy Howell. She is survived by: her husband John B. Butler; her daughters, Rebecca (David Pfaefflin) of Woolwich, NJ and Rachel (Ryan Dean) of Gorham; her grandchildren, John, James, Lauren and Henry; and her siblings, Elizabeth "Beth" Murphy and Richard Murphy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Susan's memory.
