He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ruth Putney; his wife Shirley Ann Putney; his children, George Andrew Putney, IV and Tricia Ann Putney; and his grandchildren, McKenzie, Eli, Bryce and Miranda.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and Hospice of Southern Maine.
