He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Kane and Mary Kane (Currie); his wife Mary Kane (Towle); his son-in-law Daniel Brown; his grandson Timothy Brown; his great grandchild Connor York; and his siblings, Joan Kane, Marjorie Mowatt, Louise Fortin, Helen Hatch, Jean Stimpson, Clifford, Thomas and John.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Brown, Jody Shoemaker (Shawn), Julie Costello (Justin), David Kane (Paula), John Kane (Leah) and Michael Kane (Melissa); his grandchildren, Christina Fernald, Angela York, Dan, Richard Brown, Phillip, Chad Shoemaker, Jaela, Coleman, Briana Costello, Brittany, Ryan, Brendan, Evan, Kevin, Kathryn and Caroline Kane; and his great grandchildren, Daniel, Sophia, Lillian Fernald, Chaia Costello and Orlin Shoemaker.
