He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Philip Fortin and Ida Fortin (Deroche); his wife Paula Charity of Rumford, ME; his children, Paige Fortin of Rumford, Ian Fortin (Martha) of Mechanic Falls, Devan Melcher (Michael) of Rumford, Stacy Fortin of Rumford and Denise Reed of Virginia Beach; and his siblings, Robert Fortin (Elsie) of Hanover, ME, William Fortin (Linda) of California, Reginald "Joe" Fortin (Judy) of New Hampshire, Edward Fortin (Debra) of Massachusetts, Gerald Fortin of Rumford and Jeanette Giasson of California. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
