It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susan McDonald (Mount Desert, Maine), born in Blue Hill, Maine, who passed away on May 24, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Carter (Black) and Almon Carter; and her brother James A. Carter. She is survived by: her cousin Loretta Black; her aunts and uncles, Richard, Lee, Anne and Nick; her husband Dennis "Ray" McDonald; her children, Matthew McDonald, Torrey McDonald and Richard McDonald (Sara); her grandchildren, Mason and Chase; her child Layne Cough (Andy); and her grandchildren, Oaklee and Beckham. She is also survived by friends and special family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Old Surry Village Schoolhouse (https://www.oldsurryvillageschool.org) as a thank you to the many members that offered warm meals and their endless support throughout this difficult year.
