With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Howard of Machias, Maine, born in Dennysville, Maine, who passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Howard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Kilby and Nettie Kilby (Kelley); her husband James E. Howard; and her sister Elizabeth Kinney. She is survived by: her children, Mary Sawlivich of Danvers, MA, Carroll Howard (Susan) of Epping, NH, James Howard (Lynn) of Meddybemps and Scott Howard (Donna) of Newton Junction, NH; her grandchildren, Mitchell, Daniel Sawlivich, Jeffrey Jardine, Heather Hamilton and Jenny Thornton; and her brother Leroy Kilby (Jennie) of Edmunds Twp. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
