She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Wagner and Frederick Wagner; her husband Keith Fernald; her grandmother Margaret; her uncle Frank; her brother Frederick; her granddaughter Meagan Faith; and her stepchildren, Mary Ann, John, Sharon and Peter.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Fernald (Jennifer) of Ellsworth, Susan Ryan (Gordon) of Albany, NY and Wendy Schors (Sam) of East Machias; her grandchildren, Nicholas Fernald, Abigail Ryan, Jacob Schors, Hunter Fernald, MacKenzie Schors, Brittany Pendexter, Brandon Randall and Jordyn Gordon; her great grandchildren, Noah, Rylee and Vera; her siblings, Debby Gergenti and Richard Wagner; her brother-in-law Joe Fernald (Linda); her stepsons, Chris Fernald and Terry Fernald; and her cousins, Sharon Herbert, Diane Tegethoff and Charlie Herbert. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Cherryfield Academy Elevator Fund, 53 Main Street, Cherryfield, ME 04622 or to the Peggy Fernald Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit a Cherryfield Elementary Alumni graduating from Narraguagus High School pursuing a degree in Education.
