Linda Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2021, at the age of 77, Linda Smith (Machias, Maine), born in Old Town, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George E. Briggs and Hortense Briggs (Sibley); her husband Herbert; her son Dwayne A. Smith; her grandchild Cameron I. Farris; and her siblings, Harold, Audrey, Gloria, Laura, David, Clinton and William (Billy).

She is survived by: her daughters, Tonia (Milton Merchant) of Jonesport, Wanita Smith of Jonesport and Julie Farris of Jonesport; her grandchildren, David (Kaitlin Merchant), Mathew Merchant (Courtney Dahl), Luke Smith (Chelsea), Jodi Smith and Joanna (Ryan Geel); her great grandchildren, Emery, Isaac, Osmin Merchant, Uriah, Saul, Silas Merchant, Heather, Logan, Xander Smith, Caleb, Brayden Geel and Javien Farris; and her siblings, Gwendolyn (Harold Farren) of Cherryfield and Arthur (Florence Briggs) of Summerfield, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, church family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, one might consider donating in Linda's memory to the POJ Missions Department or CHCS Hospice Care.
