He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold M. Dow and Annie Dow (Connors); his siblings, Harold R. Dow, David A. Dow and Henrietta Mason; and his great grandchild Sophia Mae Frost.
He is survived by: his wife Betty E. Dow (Marquis); his children, Cheryl G. LaFave, Holly D. Frost (late Kenneth, II), Christina L. LaBrosse (Becky), John H. Dow (Missy), Mark E. Dow (Tammi) and Desiree D. DuBois (Michael); his siblings, Jean Gibson, Joan Randall of Ripley, Rowena Walton of Dexter and James Dow of Turner; his grandchildren, John Walton III, Carol Frost, Kenneth Frost III, Michael Almstrom, Skyla Rose Aubut, Drew Soucie-Porter and John Drew; and his great grandchildren, Katelyn Walton, Kathryn Frost, Sarah Frost, Kenneth Frost IV and Stacy Thunder Horse. He is also survived by two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
John was a proud member of his church; in lieu of flowers, John wished for donations to be made to the Ripley United Methodist Church, 35 Pine Street, Dexter, Maine, 04930.
