He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Merrill and Ruby Merrill (Knowles); his wife Colleen Merrill (Tyler); his grandson Ben Merrill; his son-in-law Ralph Pruneau; and his brothers, Dwight, Omar and Lawrence Merrill.
He is survived by: his children, Judith A. Pruneau of Fairfield Glade, TN and Terry C. Merrill (Crickette) of Kennebunkport; his grandchildren, Scott Pruneau, Heather Pruneau Johnson (Steve), Brent Merrill and Dean Merrill; and his great grandchildren, Shelby Pruneau, Jacob Johnson and Alexis Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
