He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce M. Chapman and Fannie J. Chapman (Henderson); his wife Shirley D. Chapman; and his sisters, Dorothy Chapman and Joann Adolphsen.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest J. Chapman, Timothy T. Chapman and Bonnie S. of Fort Fairfield; his son-in-law Stephen Mowbray of Fort Fairfield; his brother Ellery M.; his sister-in-law Peggy Chapman of Torrance, CA; his sisters, Rose Marie Cox of Walton, Patricia LeMaster of Cypress, CA and Lorraine DeWitt of Presque Isle; his grandchildren, Melanie O. Mowbray, Joshua S. Mowbray, Dustin T., Kasidie J. and Kelsie E. Chapman; and his great grandchildren, Elliot T. Knox and Gracelyn E. Knox. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
