He is survived by: his significant other Anne Frary Kim; his children, Lisa Doughty (Manley), Rhonda Hunt McCarthy, Ronald McCarthy Jr. and Jeffrey McCarthy; his stepchildren, Joan Romel and Anthony Kim; his grandchildren, James Doughty (Kelleigh), Dale Doughty (Jessi Gouin), Jennifer Averill Billings (Charlie), Stefanie Averill (Tim Mann), Ezekiel "Zeb" McCarthy and Luka Romel (Matt Kissell); his great grandchildren, Nathan Billings, Titus Billings, Novalee Billings, Jase Billings, Mayla Costa, Rayna Hope Doughty (Keagan Hennessey), Brody Losier, Alyssa Chasse, Alia Chasse, Makayla Chasse and Javon Jarrett; his great great grandchild Layla Ruby; and his sister Beverly Bigelow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He donated to many causes and was a member of many organizations; his favorites were the Elks and the Antique Tractor Club.
