He was predeceased by: his son John Daniel Cook; his brothers, Richard and Paul; his parent-in-law Hattie York; and also Rodney York.
He is survived by: his wife Cordelia; his children, Norma Cook of Augusta, Rae Batchelder (Paul) of Anderson and Ernest Cook (Cheryl) of Madison; his grandchildren, Shawn Cook (Kerstin), Kevin Batchelder (Heather), Bethany Hoffman (Matthew), Michelle Kane and Heather Flader (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Madyson, Logan, Laurell, Autumn, Tanner, Abigail, Zane, Gavin, Nathan, Connor, Shelby, Hannah and Caleb; his sisters, Margaret LaFlemme, Eleanor Hart and Ruth McDougall; and his siblings-in-law, Wilda of Florida, Priscialla of Medway and Marshall (Carolyn) of Medway. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
