He is survived by: his wife Carrie; his children, Jenny McGovern (Daniel McGovern), Heather Perry (Peter Perry) and Curtis Gardner (Kim Gardner); his sister Clara Clark (Vern Clark); his granddaughters, Katherine Gosselin and Samantha McGovern; his stepgranddaughters, Jillian Latimer and Megan Galligan; and his great grandchild Emelin Gosselin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made online to Either the Wounded Warrior Project or the Purple Heart Foundation in John's name.
