He is survived by: his parents, Clemons Traut and Clara Moritz; his son Richard Townsend of Brunswick, ME; his daughter-in-law Jean Townsend of Brunswick, ME; his brother Clem Traut of Illinois; his grandchildren, Michelle Freeman (Stuart Freeman) of Topsham and David Townsend of Massachusetts; his wife Jessica Townsend of Massachusetts; and his great grandchildren, Madison Townsend, Nicholas Freeman and Nathan Freeman.
