He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Simond and Antonia Lajoie Simond; and his former wife Shirley Simond. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Simond of Auburn; his stepdaughter Kari Poulin (Edward) of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Quinlan, Paige Dubois of Auburn, Sydney and Addison Poulin of Lisbon; and his siblings, Raymond Simond (Venise) of Monmouth, Patricia Levesque of Lewiston and Janine Begin of Greene.
