He was predeceased by: his father Dale A. Thomas. He is survived by: his mother Beatrice A. Thomas; his fiancée Valerie Patterson; his daughter Melissa Root (Mike Root); his fiancée's daughters, Nicole and Brittany Johnson; his grandchildren, Avery, Adeline Root, Oliver Banks and Finnegan Morrison; his brothers, Dale A. Thomas Jr. (Patsy), James J. Thomas (Catherine) and Jonathan A. Thomas; his nieces and nephews, Dale A. Thomas III, Alexandria Thomas, Austyn Thomas and Jonathan Thomas II; and also, Meredith Morrison and Dana Banks. He is also survived by his brothers at his family.
