She was predeceased by: her sister Dorothy Canwell. She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Newell Grenier (John) of Connecticut, Cynthia Newell Mateo of Alabama and Kimberly Purington Soucy (Shawn) of Poland; her grandchildren, Nicole Allen, Yolanda Garrick of Alabama, Jennifer Lappen of New Hampshire, Melissa Young, Danielle Lappen and Gregory T. Lappen, Jr. of Connecticut; her niece Carolyn Lowe of Virginia; her nephew Leonard Canwell (Barbara) of Oxford; and her close friend Marion Stevens of South Paris. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
