He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bobbi Rye; his parents, Howard Rye and Irma Warder Rye; his sister Barbara Rowe (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his friends, Dave and Debbie. He was also cherished by four nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces and nephews.
