She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Bayer Crist and Samuel Crist; her husband Norman Grimes; her son Sammy Grimes; and her grandson Little Sammy Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Shifflett, Freddy Grimes and Eddie Grimes. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
