He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Burns and Anna Burns; his brother Charles Burns; his parents-in-law, Frank and Theresa Rongione; and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Gregory A. Rongione and Lee Ehlers.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Maria Burns; his son Michael John Burns, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA.; his sisters, Louanne Ehlers and Sandra Ayers; his siblings-in-law, Donna Rongione, Frank Rongione (Cecelia), Mark Rongione (Marian) and Dr. Marcie Bidinger; and his friends, Salvatore Rodano and Walter Jones. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
