He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Black, Sr. and Alice Black (Hossler) of Virginia; and his siblings, Anna Mae Burdette, Helen Utz, Dorothy Boone, John Black, Sr., Benjamin Black, Jr. and Due.
He is survived by: his sons, Allen Black of Westminster and Delmar Black (Brenda) of Taneytown; his stepchildren, Leo Scheller of Westminster, Ann Heffner of Union Bridge and Elizabeth Robertson (Edward Halterman) of Union Bridge; his siblings, Betty Jane Grossnickle, Nancy Lescalleet of Taneytown and Elmer Black (Mary) of Taneytown; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Delmar, Jr. and Devin; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon, Cory, Autumn, Grant, Eliza, Ethan and Emmett; and his son Shirley Black. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
