He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis M. Sr. Smith and Mary Lucretia Smith (Ecker); and his granddaughter Emily Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Smith (Hesson); his children, David M. Smith of McSherrystown, PA and Lisa; his son-in-law Tim Watkins of Westminster; his grandchildren, Tyler Watkins, Megan Watkins and Connor Smith; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Masks and social distancing are required at all services at the funeral home and church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to either St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church, or Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster MD 21157.
