He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hawkins, Sr. and Gladys Hawkins. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Williams, Ronald Hawkins and Eugene Hawkins; his wife Louise Hawkins; his children, Joyce Hawkins, Valerie Johnson, Vernell Hawkins, Joanne Proctor, Blanche Jones and Jerome Johnson (Terry); his sister Brenda Hawkins; and his grandchildren, Monique Thompson, Valencia Johnson, Shawnitra Hawkins, Wayne Prater, Anthony Proctor, Tonia Jones, Ricardo Proctor, Darnell Johnson, Franklin Jones, Deneen Frazier, Quante Hawkins, Van Johnson and Quincy Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
