“The world is enriched by faithful, hard-working Christian women like Kitt. She always organized events. She invited 2 college students, Pauline Hankins, Ronnie Reaves (her nephew), and me to speak on a panel at her Mother's family reunion on Sept 1, 2018 (Labor Day Weekend). My first memory of Kitt is when she would visit Bolivia every summer and polish my fingernails that grew long naturally; I was about 10 years old. She always invited us to stay with her when we visited DC/Maryland area.”

“Annie "Kitt" was such a talented and beautiful lady in so many ways and an NCCU Eagle. When King David son died, he said my son can never come back to me, but if I live a Christian life, one day I will go where he is (2 Sam 12:23). If Sonja, Ashley and Jordan continue to practice the Christian lessons your devoted mother and grandmother Kitt taught, you all will see her again. My heart is heavy with sadness and you have my deepest condolences. We love Kitt, but God loves more. Sherlene Hankins”
