She was predeceased by: her husband Iain McGoram MacFarlane; her parents, Francis Estol Simmons and Rhoda Belle McCartney Simmons; and her sister Patricia Simmons Miller (Robert). She is survived by: her children, Ian MacFarlane (Jolene) of Fredericksburg, VA and Rhoda MacFarlane; and her grandchildren, Ian MacFarlane, Jr. (Anna) of Austin, TX, Beau MacFarlane of Richmond, VA, Brad MacFarlane of Fairview Beach, VA and Christina MacFarlane of Fredericksburg, VA..
