He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Dewey Griffin and Helen Griffin (Amidon); and his wife Barbara Wright Griffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1861 Harbor Dr., Chester, MD 21619.
