He was predeceased by: his parent Mildred Schaffner-Eichler (Davis); his brothers, George E. Schaffner-Eichler and Howard O. Schaffner-Eichler; and his niece Sonia M. Crawford (Douglas). He is survived by: his parent Adam Schaffner-Eichler; and his siblings, Vernon "Reds" R. Schaffner (June) of Stevensville, MD and Susan A. Staley (Jeff) of Calhoun, IL..
