She was predeceased by: her parents, James Curtis and Ruby Chipman Curtis; and her former husbands, Samuel Stephen Rochester, Jr. and Floyd Butler. She is survived by: her children, Lloyd Butler (Martha), Sharon Butler Chandler (Jerry), Linda Butler Novosel (Bill), Angel Rochester Chaney (Phillip), Renee Rochester Pyle (Steven) and Karen Rochester Xenos (Maurice); and her brothers, David and James Curtis. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
